Guess What!

Our visas came today!! It's officially official, we are going to Russia! Sadly, I won't really believe it until I'm on the plane and in the air!;)
I've begun packing. What an ordeal! Trying to pack our bare necessities plus clothes and stuff for 2 children in 2 bags weighing less than 40 lbs each is very challenging. Thankfully my sweet SIL has offered to schlep some of our stuff over for us. I love her!
5 more days until we're outta here!!

Wow! 5 days. I thought of your tots this morning. Thinking that in a few short days you'll be together.

That packing sounds like a HUGE job. Good luck. I'd say roll stuff to fit more but then it would weigh more. Don't forget the laundry soap!

It must be tough b/c they are bulky winter clothes too! What will the boys be bringing with them? Will you have room to shop and bring things back? Hope so! It would be nice to get them something from Russia to give them someday. Paul and Peggy did that for Lily.
This is it!! Your long awaited moment is only days away, not months or years.... thank you Lord!

I'm so sorry I have been out of the loop, but you know why. Congrats on your court date. Too bad we will miss each other in Moscow. That is wonderful that you will be home before his birthday!

You can pack two suit cases for each person you have a ticket for. Danica and I brought two big suitcases each when we went on our trip two. It was work schlepping them around, but we needed all the stuff for the long trip and two children. Our drivers had to really pack the luggage in, but they always managed.

We also bought a lot of stuff over there, instead of carting it there. That worked out real well.

Good luck!

That is great news that your Visas arrived...one more thing can be checked off of your list! I hope your packing is going well. We were overweight on our first trip, so I don't see how we can stay within the weight for the 2nd trip! :) Good luck! You will be leaving before you know it!
