A window of opportunity.

Well, the Lord has opened a window for us and we are scrambling through it! We heard from our FC today who spoke with Dr D and it seems that if we can get the one document to Russia asap then we have a small chance of getting a court date in February. I'm certainly not holding my breath but I am absolutely willing to do whatever it takes. So, we will be making another trip up to Tallahassee tomorrow morning. Our first stop will be in Orlando to pick up the needed document from our social worker and then we're off to the state's capitol to get it apostilled. Then we will send it immediately to Russia where it will be translated and submitted to court by next Wednesday, Lord willing, in order for us to get the chance for a court date next month. Please pray that the Lord will go before us and bless our effort. Thank you all so much for your words of encouragement and your prayers, we covet them.

We'll be praying that everything goes smoothly tomorrow and that the judge gets the document in time to give you a February court date! Best wishes tomorrow!

That's wonderful news. I'll be remembering this in prayer all week. Please let us know that you get it there.

When is the latest you would find out if you get a court date in Feb?

I just wanted to tell you what a joy it is to keep up with your progress and the process! My husband and I are in the process of adopting a little boy (20 months old) from Krasnoyarsk--actually a Baby House in Sosnovoborsk--whom we met on Thanksgiving day and are now anxiously awaiting our Court Date. Your blog has been extremely helpful in keeping us focused and keeping our sanity as this drags on an on. You all are in our prayers. Hang in there! God works in mysterious ways. Just when you don't think he is listening, he responds in the loudest voice possible. God bless and godspeed.

Don't you just "love" these last minute, gotta-have-it-YESTERDAY paperwork needs?! It happened to me a few times too, but like you said... if it brings your court date one day sooner, it will be worth it! Hang in there... you're in the home stretch now.
